The Proclinic Copper NiTi Wires, manufactured by G&H Wire in the USA, contain the ideal alloy of Titanium, Copper and Chromium to achieve its the best thermal features. The Proclinic Copper NiTi Wires have a precise transition temperature of 27°C obtaining optimum relative strength for teeth shift.
Many orthodontists induce the Martensitic state by cooling the wire with spray (for instance our Refrigerating Spray Essix ref. L1590), so they can achieve a temperature far below from the transition temperature (27°) which makes the positioning of the brackets easier. After the wire is placed, and due to the corporal temperature, the wire changes its Martensitic phase to the Austenitic phase, leading to an increase of the strength levels and the shape memory of the wire.
